Paula Lauzon was born and raised in historic Fall River, Massachusetts. Her parents instilled in her a love of acting and great cinema. Prior to entering the film industry as an actor, Paula worked as a legal assistant and later as an administrator and business developer. Working in the legal field taught her critical problem solving and fast paced decision making, as well as the value of intensive research. Working in business development taught her analytics. It taught her how to observe and adapt in the field and how to gauge potential. These skills proved invaluable in her work in the film industry.
In 2015, she made the leap to commercial work and quickly became recognised as a diverse character actress both in film and on television shows. She can also be seen in a variety of national print and television ads.
Paula is a member and judge of the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences, The Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, The Burbank International Film Festival and The Raleigh Film and Art Festival.
In September, 2019, she opened The Durham School of Acting as well as her production company. She has also been a casting director for numerous local projects. Paula’s goal for HarLau Productions, LLC is to Direct films and television series that deal in various genres through the acquisition and development of high quality screenplays.
